Investors’ Behaviours towards Investment Avenues in Tirunelveli District

The research study is based on the analysis of investors’ behaviors towards investment avenues with special reference to Tirunelveli District. The objective of the study was to determine the demographic background factors, objectives of investment, relationship between demographic background factors and investments objectives and preference of investment options among the respondents. The study was conducted on small and medium level investors’ are Government, Private and Business person in Tirunelveli District of Tamilnadu. The data was collected by distributing a structured questionnaire to 150 Investors. It has been found that majority of them preferred to invest their savings in Gold, Mutual funds and Banks for the safety of an investment future followed by investing in real estate, insurance and post office. The major impact on investment is due to the level of income which has considerable increased in the last decade.
