Abstract

This study is aimed to examine the relationship between leadership style and perceived leadership effectiveness of corporate leaders in Kolkata. A random sample of 481 corporate leaders is studied. A chi-square test is conducted to understand the relationship between leadership style and leadership effectiveness of corporate leaders from their subordinates’ view point.  The result shows that there is associationship between leadership style and perceived leadership effectiveness of corporate leaders in Kolkata and transformational leadership style is considered as the most effective corporate leadership style as compared to transactional and laissez-faire leadership style so far as their leadership effectiveness is concerned.
